Enclosed alfresco with zip track blinds, outdoor dining table and timber deck in Botanic Ridge

Zip track blinds (Ziptrak-style)

Zip track blinds run in side tracks, so the fabric is held along both edges. There are no zips, straps, buckles or ropes: you pull them down, push them up, and they stop wherever you leave them. Storm catches lock them down when the weather turns.

Choose clear PVC to keep the view and block the wind, or mesh fabric to cut sun and glare while letting the breeze through. You can mix them on the same area, for example clear on the windward side and mesh on the sunny side.

  • Clear PVC, tinted PVC or mesh
  • Side tracks with storm catches
  • Manual or motorised
  • Alfresco areas, pergolas, decks and verandas
Clear cafe blinds around an annex

Cafe blinds

Cafe blinds act like a temporary wall around a patio, annex or pergola. Traditional cafe blinds use a rope and pulley and zip into place along the sides. They're a cost-effective choice and can be shaped to cover sloping tops, odd angles and doorways.

Clear PVC keeps the outlook. Shade mesh gives more airflow and privacy while you can still see out.

  • Clear PVC or shade mesh
  • Shaped to suit sloping or odd openings
  • Annexes, patios and pergolas

Awnings

Awnings stop the sun before it reaches the glass, which keeps rooms cooler than an inside blind can.

Built for coastal conditions

Down the coast, outdoor blinds take a beating from salt spray, strong UV and wind. A few things we look at on every outdoor job:

  • Wind exposure: which side the weather comes from, and whether a tracked blind or an awning suits the spot better.
  • Sun and UV: west-facing areas get hot late in the day; mesh fabrics cut glare and heat while keeping the view.
  • Salt air: rinsing tracks and fabric with fresh water now and then keeps everything running smoothly. See our care tips.
  • Holiday homes: simple, robust operation that guests can't easily get wrong.
